Jakarta, Indonesia –The ‘Taiwan: Your Intelligent Partner’ Press Conference at Manufacturing Indonesia 2019 will highlight the technological strengths of Taiwan’s smart manufacturing products and solutions. The press conference, which will take part in conjunction with the Taiwan Smart Manufacturing Pavilion during the Manufacturing Indonesia 2019 at the Jakarta International Expo Center are organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Coperate Synergy Development Center (CSD). The Taiwan Economic and Trade Office (TETO) in Indonesia state that in 2018, the Taiwan machinery industry saw its annual production rate rise to a record-setting high of roughly $39.2 billion USD. Taiwan’s machinery tool industry has long been a close competitor with the global industry giants, such as Germany and Japan. In the meantime, The Indonesian government has been actively promoting the development of the local manufacturing industry. Indonesia remains the preferred destination for the world’s manufacturing industry as it is home to a massive market for raw materials and has the supply of competitive human resources. Taiwan and Indonesia share close economic ties. Krist Yen, the Deputy Director of Industry Marketing Department of TAITRA mentioned that Taiwan has remained one of the major suppliers of machine tools to the Indonesia market and will continue serving as the best partner for Indonesia. Exports of machining center from Taiwan to Indonesia were the 2nd highest last year, whereas exports of lathes and turning machines from Taiwan to Indonesia ranked 3rd highest in the year. Krist Yen also noted that in targeting automotive and motorcycle smart manufacturing solutions, Taiwanese machine tool builders pair up with Single-Machine Automation Peripherals and Smart Set-Top Box to bring the concept of “Production Visualization” to Indonesian manufacturing partners. Such measures aim to raise awareness among local Indonesian manufacturers and visitors regarding the applcation of single-machine intelligence to improve manufacturing quality and processing efficiency, automate peripherals, reduce human resources, improve stability, implement service energy monitoring throughout the factory through production information streaming, and ultimately improve manufacturing intelligence for the local metal processing manufacturing industry.
