Stamping is a forming method that relies on presses and molds to apply external force to plates, strips, pipes, and profiles to cause plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the required shape and size of the workpiece (stamping).
The car body, chassis, fuel tank, radiator fins, boiler drums, container shells, motors, and electrical appliances are all stamped and processed. There are also a large number of stamping parts in products such as instruments, household appliances, bicycles, office machinery, and living utensils.

According to the stamping processing temperature, it is divided into hot stamping and cold stamping. The former is suitable for sheet metal processing with high deformation resistance and poor plasticity; the latter is carried out at room temperature and is a commonly used stamping method for thin plates.

Sheet material, die, and equipment are the three elements of stamping processing.

Sheet material: The surface and internal properties of the sheet material for stamping have a great influence on the quality of the stamped product.

6 requirements for stamping materials

① The thickness is accurate and uniform.
② The surface is smooth, without spots, scars, scratches, and surface cracks. Prevent the generation of waste products.
③ The yield strength is uniform without obvious directionality. In order to reduce the occurrence of defective products or waste products
④High uniform elongation. To prevent uneven deformation.
⑤ Low yield ratio. In order to improve the accuracy of bending parts.
⑥ Low work hardening. In order to prevent future deformation

Mold: The precision and structure of the mold directly affect the forming and precision of the stamping parts. Mold manufacturing cost and life are important factors that affect the cost and quality of stamping parts.

Equipment

According to the transmission structure: manual punch, mechanical punch, hydraulic punch, pneumatic punch, high-speed mechanical punch, CNC punch.

According to processing accuracy: ordinary punch, precision punch
According to the scope of use: ordinary punch, special punch.

Processing Characteristics

1. The stamping process has high production efficiency, convenient operation, and easy realization of mechanization and automation.
2. The stamping quality is stable, interchangeable, and has the characteristics of "identical".
3. The stamping strength and rigidity are both high.
4. The cost of stamping parts is lower.
